Has plus range as a shooter, capable of scoring from all areas of the court. Granted a waiver by the NCAA and did not have to sit out the mandated one-year transfer period after transferring from Nebraska to Washington to be closer to her family in Asotin, Wash. Originally recruited by the Huskies out of high school.
At WASHINGTON
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2011-2012) - played in all 33 games during her sophomore season, starting two of them ... averaged 4.1 pts/game and 1.5 Reb/game ... in her best game of the year she recorded career highs in points (26), FG made (9) , FG attempted (18) , three pointers made (6) , and three pointers attempted (11) in 28 minutes against Oregon on New Year's Eve ... also had a season high in rebounds (5) against Arizona State on Feb. 16thand assists (4) against Long Beach State on Dec. 4th.

NEBRASKA (2010-11): Played in 22 games during her freshman season with the Cornhuskers, averaging 3.0 points a game ... valuable bench player for Nebraska ... missed time with a back injury that affected her play during the Big 12 Conference season ... scored a career-high 13 points against UNLV on Nov. 30, knocking down a personal best four 3-pointers in the process ... tallied five steals against Northern Colorado, a season-high for a Cornhusker player in 2010-11.
HIGH SCHOOL: During a decorated prep career at Clarkston, McCann-Smith demonstrated an all-around game that made her one of the more dominant players in the state. She averaged 20.9 ppg to go along with 8.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists, meriting a pair of selections to the Class 2A all-state team. McCann-Smith also competed in volleyball and tennis during high school while carrying a 3.9 GPA. Played AAU ball for the Northwest Blazers in Spokane.
