UW Women's Rowing Virtual Tour
Part 7: The Experience - NCAA 2V8 - Third Title in a Row
In that moment, there's this spiritual magic of everyone going so hard together, and the pain just didn't matter.
- Molly Gallaher
Washington's women have won five NCAA team championships, seven national titles prior to NCAA sponsorship, and 17 conference championships since the Pac-12 began hosting a women's rowing championship regatta in 1987. Additionally, the UW men have won 18 national championships and 39 conference crowns. The last three years, the Huskies have won both the men's and women's Pac-12 Championships and the women have won two of the last three NCAA titles (2017 and 2019). In fact, in 2017, the Huskies became the first team ever to sweep all three NCAA grand finals. Two years later, in 2019, they repeated that feat, winning the most thrilling varsity eight grand final in the regatta's history.
