
Huskies Fall To Bruins, 4-2

LOS ANGELES – No. 21 Washington fell to No. 18 UCLA, 4-2, on Sunday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
The Huskies move to 15-3 and 6-3 in the Big Ten.
In doubles, Reece Carter and Jermine Sherif were down 2-3 after five games but battled back to win 6-3 at the No. 3 spot. Karolina Kozakova and Erika Matsuda clinched the doubles point not far behind with a 6-3 win of their own at the No. 2 spot. It was Kozakova's first doubles action of the season.
UCLA won the singles points on Courts 1 and 2 to take a 2-1 lead.
Marie Weissheim tied the match once again with a straight set victory on Court 4, 6-4, 6-3. Weissheim is 13-0 on the season and 2-0 in the No. 4 spot.
The Bruins won the matches on Courts 5 and 6 to win the match 4-2.
Washington returns to the courts on Friday back at home against Minnesota. The match will begin at 4 p.m. PT.
