Jamie Clark Signs Extension Through 2032

SEATTLE – After guiding the Huskies to their first national championship in program history, head coach Jamie Clark signed an extension at the University of Washington, keeping at the helm of UW Men's Soccer through 2032.
"We're incredibly fortunate to have the very best head coach in men's college soccer and one of the great head coaches across all of collegiate athletics," said Director of Athletics Pat Chun. "Coach Clark has established a championship-caliber program at Washington, defined by excellence in every facet. This past season, he led our team to a national championship—an achievement that speaks to his vision, leadership, and competitive drive. Under his guidance, the program continues to excel both on the field and in the classroom. We look forward to his continued leadership and are excited for what's ahead with Coach Clark leading UW men's soccer."
Clark has distinguished Washington as one of the premier programs in the nation, guiding the Huskies to 10 second round appearances, five quarterfinals, two College Cups, two national championship matches, and one national title in 2025.
"The University of Washington is home for me," said Clark. "For the past 15 years, we've raised our family on this campus enjoying Husky Athletics, taking classes, and appreciating everything this amazing university has to offer. I am grateful to Pat for all his support of me and our program, and through this extension allowing me the opportunity to work with the amazing young men of UW Men's Soccer for the foreseeable future."
The Huskies rewrote the college soccer record book in 2025, becoming the first team in history to win the title with six straight NCAA tournament victories away from home. Washington took down Oregon State, No. 5 SMU, No. 12 Stanford, No. 4 Maryland, No. 16 Furman, and No. 15 NC State en route to the trophy.
"It's truly a privilege to be surrounded by amazing coaches and administration who inspire and push each other to be the best," added Clark. "I'm excited for the years to come."
In Clark's 15 seasons on Montlake, the Huskies have advanced to the national tournament 12 times. In 2021, Clark guided the Dawgs to a national runner up finish, at the time the best result in program history, while also tying the program record for wins in a season with 18.
The Huskies have finished with at least eight wins in 14 of Clark's 15 at the helm and have claimed at least 12 wins 12 times since his appointment as head coach.
Clark has set his student-athletes up for success after their time on Montlake as well. He's helped 35 players to the MLS SuperDraft or homegrown signings. Most recently, five Huskies were selected in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, the most of any collegiate program. Richie Aman, a 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy Finalist, headlined the Husky draftees as the No. 5 overall by DC United after signing a Generation Adidas contract.
The Huskies have also found success year in and year out in the classroom under Clark's direction. During the fall quarter, Washington earned a 3.48 team GPA while three Huskies were named Scholar All-Americans, the second time in program history a trio of players earned the recognition.
