
No. 12 Washington Posts Third Straight Sweep

SEATTLE – No. 12 Washington women's tennis closed out the nonconference slate with a 4-0 victory over No. 36 UC Santa Barbara on Sunday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
UW sits a 9-0 heading into conference play.
The No. 1 doubles pair of No. 81 Erika Matsuda and Carina Syrtveit began the day with a 6-1 win. Alexia Jacobs and Marie Weissheim closed out the doubles point with a 6-4 win. Washington has won all nine doubles points this season.
No. 124 Jermine Sherif on court four was the first singles group to finish, going 6-0, 6-0 to put the second UW point on the board.
On court five, No. 90 Weissheim battled with her former team and put the Dawgs within one point of the match win with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Weissheim in 8-0 in singles thus far and has won her last five matches.
No. 65 Reece Carter closed out the match with her straight set win on court two, 6-1, 7-5. Carter is 8-0 in singles during the dual season.
