Huskies Garner 2026 Preseason Honors

SEATTLE – The Washington softball team was tabbed preseason No. 22 by Softball America, and five Huskies earned individual preseason honors.
For the new Huskies, freshmen Marley Teasley, Mila Reddy and Melody Acevedo were named to the Softball America Big Ten Preseason Freshman Watch List.
Acevedo was also named to the D100 Softball Preseason Freshman Watch List.
Sophomore Alexis DeBoer starts the season right where she left off, earning preseason honors from both Softball America and D1 Softball.
DeBoer, who was tabbed a Softball America Freshman All-American, D1 Softball First Team Freshman All-American and the Big Ten Freshman of the Year a season ago, begins the 2026 season with a spot on the Softball America Preseason All-American Second Team.
The infielder was also tabbed SA's preseason No. 33 overall player and No. 3 at first base. D1 Softball ranked DeBoer at No. 39 overall and No. 5 at first base.
Jadyn Glab, who concluded her 2025 campaign as an NFCA All-Mountain Region Third Team and Big Ten All-Defensive Team selection, ranks 94th in D1 Softball's preseason rankings and No. 7 at the catcher position. Softball America rated the junior at No. 9 in the position rankings.
