EUGENE, Ore. – A pair of Husky school record-holders raced the 800-meter semifinals at the USATF Outdoor Championships on Friday at Hayward Field, but Kyle Reinheimer and Cass Elliott came up shy of reaching their first U.S. final.

Reinheimer, who set the UW School Record at 800-meters this spring in his one and only year as a Dawg, earned a top-20 finish, as he ran 1:46.91 to finish 19th overall in the semifinals. Elliott, the class of 2023 member and school record-holder in the 400m hurdles, ran just a tick slower at 1:47.08 to finish in 21st-place.

Saturday's action includes Husky outdoor school record-holder Scott Toney competing in the pole vault, Matthew Wilkinson running the 400m hurdles, and three Husky NCAA Champions in the men's 1500m final: Nathan Green, Luke Houser, and Joe Waskom.
