Moll Twins Each Named Bowerman Semifinalists
June 26, 2025 | Track & Field
SEATTLE – National Champion sisters Amanda and Hana Moll were both named to the 10-woman list of semifinalists for The Bowerman, the highest individual award in collegiate track & field. The sophomore Husky pole vaulters are the first pair of sisters ever named semifinalists.
The pair are the first UW women to make the final 10 of The Bowerman, and only the second and third Huskies in either gender, as Scott Roth, another pole vault national champion, was the only previous Husky semifinalist back in 2011. The award was first given out in 2009.
Washington is the ninth program in award history to have multiple women's semifinalists in the same year. Three finalists will be announced on July 7 while the eventual winner will not be crowned until December.
Hana Moll won her second national title at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, clearing a new outdoor collegiate record of 15-8 1/2 on her final attempt. Amanda Moll won her first title at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, and during the indoor season she became the first collegiate woman indoors or out to clear 16-feet, which she did twice, ultimately setting the overall NCAA Record at 16-1 1/4.
Hana was named USTFCCCA Women's National Field Athlete of the Year for the outdoor season, and Amanda was named USTFCCCA Women's National Field Athlete of the Year for the indoor season.
They both rank No. 1 and No. 2 all-time in NCAA history indoors and outdoors, with Amanda leading indoors and Hana leading outdoors.
Amanda's PR from the indoor season remains the No. 1 clearance in the world in 2025, and ties her for No. 8 in world history indoors or outdoors. It ties for No. 6 in world history indoors, and No. 4 in U.S. history indoors.
Hana's PR ranks her No. 5 in the world in 2025, and puts her No. 7 in U.S. history indoors or out.
Amanda also won both the Big Ten Indoor and Outdoor Championships, with Hana taking second at both. They split the Big Ten Women's Field Athlete of the Year honors, Amanda winning indoors and Hana winning outdoors.
