Moll Chosen Women’s Big Ten Field Athlete Of Year
June 17, 2026 | Track & Field
SEATTLE – On the heels of her second career NCAA pole vault title, Husky junior Amanda Moll was named the Big Ten Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year today, based on a vote of the conference head coaches. After missing most of the indoor season, Moll was back in top form when it mattered most at the end of the outdoor season, setting the new NCAA Outdoor Record in her national title victory.
Moll and sister, Hana, have regularly traded off Big Ten and NCAA titles, and collegiate records over the past three seasons. Amanda winning Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year honors comes after Hana was named Indoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year back in March. Hana also won the outdoor honor in 2025, and Amanda won the indoor honor that season.
The sisters went 1-2 at both the Big Ten Outdoor Championships and the NCAA Outdoor Championships, but traded spots and records. At Big Tens, Hana won with a new NCAA Record of 15-10. But at NCAAs, Amanda got the better of things, and she cleared 15-10 1/2 to retake the outdoor collegiate record.
Amanda's 2026 outdoor national title goes on the trophy case next to her 2025 indoor national title. She pulls within one NCAA title of Hana, who has three.
