May 06, 2025 | Women's Golf
GOLD CANYON, Ariz. – Vivian Lu wrapped up her second round today at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional, finishing with a score of 75 on the day to move to three-over par overall, tied for 17th.
Competing as an individual at Superstition Mountain Golf Club, Lu ran into trouble early, going three-over on the front nine. She steadied her play, closing with an even par for the final nine holes, tallying an eagle on the 18th hole to finish off round two.
Nine players in the 77-player field remain under par after two rounds, with Oregon and Oklahoma State leading the team standings in red figures and Arizona State sitting even.
"Viv is struggling with her energy level as she's not been feeling well since before we left Seattle," head coach Mary Lou Mulflur said. "She really battled hard today and got absolutely nothing for it until she birdied 17 and eagled 18. She will have to play extremely well tomorrow to have a fighting chance but she's still in the hunt for that one precious spot."
Lu will return to the course tomorrow for the final round of play in Gold Canyon, Arizona. Tee times for Wednesday's final round will appear here.
