Sophi Mazzola led the offense over both games going 6-for-8 with two home runs and nine RBI.

Morgan Reimer picked up her first career postseason victory β and her 16th of the season β coming on in relief. She allowed three hits and no runs over her four innings of work with a strikeout and no walks.

Washington's bats came out early, plating six runs in the first inning. With two outs and runners on second and third, Ava Carroll laid down a bunt single that brought in the first run. Jade Bubke reached on an error to bring in the second run of the inning. Tia Durst walked to load the bases and Mazzola sent the ball deep out to center for her first career grand slam.

The Huskies added a pair of runs in the second on the first of two Jade Bubke doubles of the game to extend the lead to eight.

Brown cut into the Husky lead with five runs in the third.

Giselle Alvarez added to the lead with a solo home run to leadoff the bottom of the fourth.

Mazzola sent her second long ball of the game β a solo shot β out to left to bring the lead to five in the fifth.

With two outs in the sixth, Carroll recorded her second hit of the contest. Bubke and Tia Durst followed with back-to-back doubles to bring up Mazzola who drove in the game-ending run to secure the 13-5 victory and keep the Huskies' season alive for another game.

MISSISSIPPI STATE 11, WASHINGTON 10
Washington saw three pitchers in the circle with Sophia Ramuno getting the start. She went 2.1 total innings with two strikeouts. Rylee Rehbein threw four innings with three strikeouts. Reimer made her second appearance of the day, going .2 innings.

Mississippi State led off the game with back-to-back doubles to bring in the first run. The Bulldogs sent a two-run home run out to left to take a three-run advantage. Rylee Rehbein came in and retired the final two batters to limit the damage.

With one out, a walk, single and walk brought up Alycia Flores. Flores sent the second Husky grand slam of the day out to center to give UW the 4-3 advantage. Back-to-back double from Riley Peschek and Carroll added to the lead.

The Bulldogs responded with four runs in the top of the fifth to re-take the lead at 7-5.

Jadyn Glab made it a one-run game with her 15th home run of the season in the bottom of the inning.

MSU added four runs in the sixth to take an 11-6 lead.

The Dawgs would not go down without a fight. Down to the final six outs, Washington was able to load the bases and Mazzola cleared them with her fifth double of the season. Bubke was hit by a pitch to put two on and Flores drove in her fifth run of the game to bring the Huskies within one run.
