Washington Falls On The Road To No. 33 UCLA
March 30, 2025 | Men's Tennis
The loss comes after a major win for the Huskies on Friday over No. 30 USC.
UCLA came out strong, sweeping the doubles round right off the bat. This put the Dawgs at a one point disadvantage headed into singles.
The Huskies struggled to gain momentum in the singles round, losing three straight matches out of the six. This resulted in a clinched 0-4 loss for the Dawgs.
Soham Purohit won his first set against Kaylan Bigun but was unable to finish his match before the Bruins clinched the win. Cesar Bouchelagham put up a good fight against No. 29 Rudy Quan. They sat at a score of 4-6, 4-4 but were also unable to finish their match.
Next up, the Dawgs are back at home for two matches against Nebraska and Wisconsin next weekend.
