HONOLULU – Washington softball picked up a pair of run-rule shutout wins on Thursday against Howard, 8-0 (5 innings) and Jackson State, 10-0 (6 innings) on day two of the OUTRIGGER Invitational.

Nine Huskies combined for 21 hits over the two games with Alexis DeBoer (5), Jadyn Glab (3), Giselle Alvarez (3), Ava Carroll (3), Alycia Flores (2) and Tia Durst recording multiple hits.

Morgan Reimer (4-4) got the start in the circle, tossing her fourth complete game of the season and second shutout. She struck out seven in the outing with two hits allowed and no walks.
With Charity Sevaaetasi on in the second, Carroll came up to bat and sent her first Husky home run out to straight-away center for the 2-0 advantage.
Bases loaded and one out, Flores came up to the plate and hit a two-run double off the left field wall. In the following at bat, DeBoer sent her fifth home run of the season to jump out to a 7-0 lead.
Alvarez brought across the eighth run of the contest on a single up the middle in the fourth inning.
WASHINGTON 10, JACKSON STATE 0 (6)
Stevie Hansen (3-0) got the start in the second game, allowing only one hit in six innings with a season-high seven strikeouts.
Glab began the game the same way she did yesterday against the Tigers, a one-out solo home run to give the Huskies the advantage after the first inning.
Durst followed the next inning with her first home run as a Husky to extend the lead to three.
Glab kept her hot bat going, sending her team leading ninth home run of the season out in the fourth. She has the most home runs by a Husky in the month of February since Kirstyn Thomas hit 10 in 2018.
Back-to-back-to-back hits by Flores, DeBoer and Carroll brought in the sixth run of the evening in the fifth.
A leadoff double by Durst and single from pinch hitter Jing Gardner bought up Glab who hit her fourth double of the year to bring around Durst. Alvarez followed with a double of her own to score two more. DeBoer hit the fourth double of the inning to bring in the 10th run.
The Huskies continue the OUTRIGGER Invitational on Friday against Howard (3:30 p.m. PT) and Hawaii (8:00 p.m. PT). Live stats for both games will be available at HuskyStats.com.
