
Hansen Throws No-Hitter Against UC Riverside

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – Washington softball opened Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a split falling to BYU in the opening game, 3-1, before run-ruling UC Riverside, 10-0 (6 inning) in the nightcap on Thursday.
The Huskies move to 6-6 on the season.
WASHINGTON 1, BYU 3
BYU got on the board in the first on a double steal attempt.
Washington responded in the top of the second with Jade Bubke's second hit of the season to pick up her first RBI to tie the game at one a piece.
The Cougars re-took the lead in the third with a two RBI single.
Morgan Reimer (1-4) got the start in the circle, going 2.1 innings with a strikeout. Sophia Ramuno came on in relief going the final 3.2 frames with six strikeouts. She has not allowed a run in 13.2 innings.
WASHINGTON 10, UC RIVERSIDE 0 (6)
Stevie Hansen (2-0) threw the 51st no-hitter in Washington softball history. It is the second no-hitter of her career. Her first came against Utah Valley on February 17, 2023. The lone base runner came on a fielding error in the first inning. She struck out a season-high five batters along the way to pick up her second win of the season.
Jadyn Glab got the Husky offense started with her third home run of the season – a three-run shot to left field. Alycia Flores added the second homer of the inning – a two-run – to put UW up 5-0.
The Huskies added a run in the second, one in the fourth and three in the sixth to move into run-rule territory.
Washington is back for day two of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Friday. Washington will face Cal at 8:30 p.m. The game will be streamed through FloCollege with live stats available at HuskyStats.com.
