
Lu Tied For Second After Round Two In Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Washington women's golf team wrapped up round two of the Alice & John Wallace Women's Golf Classic, led by sophomore Vivian Lu, who sits in second place.
Lu carded a three-under 71, bringing her tournament total to five-under. She recorded four birdies on the back nine, including back-to-back birdies on holes 12-13 and 15-16, recovering from an early bogey.
Carmen Lim posted a one-under round, improving from her three-over finish on day one to tie for 22nd place. Jenny Chang sits just behind, tied for 24th at three-over for the day.
Wendy Tang is tied for 64th after carding a four-over round, followed by Athena Ni, who sits in a tie for 77th at 13-over.
Oregon (-16) remains atop the leaderboard heading into the final round, followed by USC (-4) in second and San Jose State (+6) in third. Washington sits in fourth at eight-over, with Pepperdine (+9) close behind in fifth.
The Huskies will tee off in a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday for the final round of the tournament.
