
Tang, Ni Complete Freshman Debuts In Guadalajara

Guadalajara, Mexico – The Washington women's golf team concluded its first tournament of 2025 with a seventh-place finish at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club.
The Dawgs played 27 holes Saturday in the final day of competition, led by Athena Ni who recorded two birdies on the 10th and 11th holes, finishing two-over par on the second round.
Florida State finished first in the tournament at -10.
In the third and final round, Wendy Tang led Washington, notching three birdies and finishing one-over par 72.
Jenny Chang recorded two birdies as well, shooting two-over par good for a Top-30 finish on the weekend.
The Dawgs were left short-handed on Saturday, as Vivian Lu had to withdraw from competition and UW competed with four players the rest of the way.

The Huskies will next play in back-to-back California tournaments, first in Palm Desert, Calif. at the Alice & John Wallace Women's Golf Classic Feb. 15-17. A few weeks later, Washington will compete in the two-day Juli Inkster Invitational at Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif. from March 3-4.
