SEATTLE — It was another impressive defensive performance for the Washington women's basketball team (7-0, 0-0 Big Ten) as it held UC San Diego (3-4, 0-0 Big West) to its lowest point total of the season in a 67-50 win Friday night in Alaska Airlines Arena.
In the final quarter, the Tritons couldn't manage more than five points, and the Huskies took advantage to stretch the lead to 17.
The Huskies also dominated the glass all night long, collecting 50 to the Tritons' 27. Eighteen of Washington's boards came on the offensive end, which it converted into 11 points.
