
Williams Jr. Earns Maxell, O’Brien Player Of The Week Honors

SEATTLE – Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. has been named the Davey O'Brien Co-National Quarterback of the Week and the Maxwell Player of the Week, the organizations announced today.
Against Rutgers, Williams became the 16th player in FBS history to throw for 400 yards and rush for 100 yards. He amassed a program-record 538 yards of total offense. Williams completed 21 of 27 passes for 402 yards, two passing touchdowns and no interceptions, along with 13 carries for 136 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
In addition to the pair of national awards, Williams was also tabbed the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and earned a spot on the Manning Award Stars of the Week list.
The Huskies return to action traveling to Ann Arbor for a matchup against Michigan on October 18. The game will air nationally on FOX at 9 a.m. PT/Noon ET.
