
GymDawgs Host No. 18 Michigan For Its B1G Home Opener

SEATTLE — The Washington gymnastics team will host No. 18 Michigan in its Big Ten home opener Saturday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. at Alaska Airlines Arena. The meet marks the sixth meeting between the Huskies and Wolverines. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for the meet are available here. First 250 fans will recieve a Big Ten clear bag!
The competition will be broadcasted live on Big Ten Network, with Elise Woodward and JaNay Honest on the call. Live scoring will also be available here.
Washington is coming off a loss to Rutgers in its conference opener, falling 194.050–194.550. The Huskies excelled on beam, scoring a 49.100 to outpace the Scarlet Knights.
Emily Innes led the team, claiming co-champion honors on vault with a 9.800 and securing the floor title with a 9.850. Taylor Russon added a beam title with a 9.875, while Olivia Oppegard delivered strong performances across three events. Kristin Lin made her season debut on bars, scoring 9.700.
Washington is seeking its first-ever Big Ten victory. The Huskies are 0-5 all time against Michigan.

Michigan enters the meet following a loss to No. 6 Michigan State. The team opened its 2025 Big Ten season with a season-high score of 196.975 but fell short against No. 6 Michigan State, which scored 197.500.
