
UW Novice Crew Wins Both Races At Falcon Regatta

The Washington women's novice eight crew won both of its races Saturday morning at the Falcon Regatta, hosted by Seattle Pacific University on the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
The UW eight raced twice vs. second varsity eights from Cal Poly Humboldt at SPU, the programs currently ranked No. 1 and No. 3, respectively, in the NCAA Division II coaches' polls.
In the first race, the Huskies crossed the finish line in 7:17.3, with Seattle Pacific taking second in 7:50.9. Cal Poly finished third, in 8:06.1.
Two hours later, those same three crews went at it again, with the same order of finish. Washington crossed the line in 7:01.9; SPU's time was 7:43.2; and Cal Poly finished in 8:04.4.
