GymDawgs Earn Second 197 Of Season En Route Quad Win

SEATTLE – The Huskies notched their second 197 score of the season Friday night as Washington finished first in a quad with BYU, Southern Utah and Sacramento State.
On a night that celebrated seniors Skylar Killough-Wilhelm, Taylor Russon and Gabi Wickman, the GymDawgs stepped up and performed across the board.
UW finished first in the quad with their second highest score of 2024 – 197.175. BYU placed second with a 196.750, Southern Utah third with a 196.525 and Sacramento State with a 195.350.
The GymDawgs led at every point during Friday's quad, notching a season-high 49.450 on beam and a second-best 49.425 on floor to round out the final two rotations.
The Huskies' 49.450 on beam ties the fourth highest score on the event in program history. The 49.425 on floor is the seventh highest on the event.
Skylar Killough-Wilhelm won the all-around with a career-best 39.700 – tying her career-high 9.900 on vault, notching a team-high 9.925 on bars, tying a team-best 9.900 on beam and setting a new career-best 9.975 on floor.
Killough-Wilhelm finished in a tie for second overall on vault, first on bars, a tie for second on beam and a tie for first on floor.
Following Killough-Wilhelm's 9.900 vault, Lana Navarro and McKenna Carnesi's pair of 9.850s. This was Carnesi's second vault of the season as she set a new high score.
Taylor Russon anchored bars with a 9.875 while also tying her career-best 9.825 on floor.
The Huskies set a season-best 49.425 on beam in their most recent competition with Oregon State and topped that number tonight with a 49.450.
Five gymnasts notched a 9.875 or better, starting with Chelsea Hallinan's 9.875 in the lead off spot. Emily Innes followed Hallinan up with a 9.900.
Navarro tied her career-best 9.900 on beam to go along with her 9.850 on vault.
Killough-Wilhelm added a 9.900 and Deiah Moody wrapped up the rotation with a 9.875 to tie her season-high on beam.
The final rotation capped off an emotional and impressive senior night for Washington. Emily Pires tied her season-best 9.850 as the lead off. Caitlin McWilliams matched her best floor score with a 9.875.
Killough-Wilhelm's 9.975 on floor tied for the best score on the evening in the fourth spot for the Huskies, followed by Innes' 9.900, her seventh 9.9+ floor score on the event this season and fourth straight 9.9+.
Gabi Wickman made her floor season debut in an exhibition routine, notching a 9.725.
