HOUSTON— The University of Washington Beach Volleyball team wrapped day one of the Third Coast College Classic tournament in Houston against two top ten teams.
ÂThe Beach Dawgs battled against No. 4 TCU in the morning, pushing three of the five matches to a decisive third set. Piper Monk-Heidrich and Maggy Rabitsch staged a comeback to win two straight sets, including a 21-10 victory in the second set.
ÂMonk-Heidrich and Rabitsch moved into the No. 1 spot for the afternoon match and took down their duo from No. 6 LSU in two sets. The Huskies battled back and forth against the Tigers by forcing three games into three sets.Â
ÂThe Huskies look to rebound against Houston Christian University at 9 a.m. PST and then the University of Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. PST.
