GymDawgs Hit 196.425 Against No. 4 Red Rocks

SEATTLE โ The GymDawgs welcomed back Husky alum Carly Dockendorf (Utah head coach and UW dual-sport athlete) and earned a 196.425 Saturday afternoon at Alaska Airlines Arena. Utah earned its season-high 197.775 to win the meet.

The fourth-ranked Red Rocks started out strong with a 49.525 on bars as Washington struggled with its first rotation at vault, earning a 48.875. The GymDawgs made up for it as the afternoon went on, finishing the meet earning a season-high 49.325 on floor.

Utah also earned its lowest score on the vault, earning a 49.200 but never dipping below a 49.475 on a rotation then on out to help the Red Rocks to a season-high team score.

Emily Innes earned a new career-high on beam with her 9.9 as she helped set the tone for a 49.075 team effort on the event and to finish third overall on beam. She followed up that performance with another 9.9 on floor.

Taylor Russon was amongย 9.9+ scorers this afternoon, matching her career-high 9.9 on the unevens in the anchor spot for her second 9.9+ score of her senior campaign.
Deiah Moody earned a new season-high 9.850 on beam after executing a gorgeous triple series to round out the Huskies' beam rotation.

Skylar Killough-Wilhelm tied her season-best 9.900 on floor. Emily Pires (tied season-high) and Lana Navarro (season-high), in the first and last spots on floor, respectively, both earned 9.850s to finish the afternoon strong.
Vault (48.875)
The Huskies compete next at the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 5 p.m. PT. They will take on No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Cal and No. 13 Arkansas.
