December 29, 2024 | Men's Basketball
SEATTLE (AP) - Great Osobor and Zoom Diallo each scored a dozen points and Washington rolled to a 90-53 win over NJIT Sunday in its final tune-up before diving full-time into the Big Ten season.
The 90 points were a season high for the Huskies, who enjoyed their largest margin of victory since the 2017-18 season.
OsoborΒ and Diallo were joined in double figures by Wilhelm Breidenbach, who returned from injury with a pair of threes en route to 10 points, leading the Huskies at +25.
Osobor opened the game with a three-point play in the first minute and followed it with a layup and the Huskies raced to a 20-point lead by intermission, 46-26. It was the first double-digit halftime lead of the season for the Dawgs.
Washington's bench saw plenty of playing time with four players scoring at least nine points, outscoring the Highlander bench 47-4. Diallo led the bench effort with 12 points, five assists and a pair of steals, Christian King poured in nine points on 3-of-4 from deep and KC Ibekwe delivered his largest impact of the season, tallying nine points and a pair of boards in 16 minutes.
