
UW Opens 2023-24 Season At Chambers Bay

The Washington women's golf team opens the 2023-24 season Monday and Tuesday at the Leadership & Golf Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash.
The Huskies are co-hosting the event alongside Seattle University. Those two programs will be joined by BYU, Cal Poly, Colorado, Fresno State, Georgia Southern, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Northern Arizona, Oregon State, Sacramento State, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, South Alabama, UC Riverside, USC, and Washington State.

The entire UW roster will get a chance to compete at Chamber as, along with the five golfers in the team lineup, an additional four will play as individuals.

Lu and Smith will be making their UW debuts as the two freshmen on the 2023-24 roster.
Chambers Bay Golf Course, first opened in 2007, hosted the U.S. Men's Amateur Championship in 2010 and the U.S. Men's Open in 2015. The Huskies last played the course in a tournament hosted by Seattle U in 2022.
