Meylan Named To Japan All-Star Series Roster

OKLAHOMA CITY – Ruby Meylan will join Team USA this summer at the Japan All-Star Series, the US. Women's National Team announced on Thursday.
The United States will go head-to-head with Japan in a three-game series held across the country in Fukushima (Azuma Stadium - Tokyo Olympic Games softball venue), Iwakuni (Kizuma Stadium - host of WNT pre-Olympic training) and Yokohama (Yokohama Stadium - Tokyo Olympic Games softball venue) August 4-7.
The 16-player roster is comprised of current collegiate athletes.
Meylan is coming off a freshman campaign where she was named a NFCA Third Team All-American after posting a 2.14 ERA with an 18-7 record. She was one of three freshman this past year to strikeout over 200 batters, fanning 204 over her 46 appearances. In addition to her All-America honor, Meylan was named First Team All-Region, First Team All-Pac-12, Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team.
