Hruby Makes Day Two Leap at Western Intercollegiate

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — After two rounds at the Western Intercollegiate UW is 14^th as a team, with a score of 721. Washington climbed as high as seventh among teams, up four spots from yesterday's placement, but fell back as round two unfolded.

Petr Hruby made the biggest leap of any Husky in the individual standings, vaulting up 24 spots Tuesday into 28^th place. Tied with Hruby after round two is fellow Husky, Teddy Lin.

Bo Peng also vaulted up the player leaderboard in round two, jumping 18 spots from yesterday, good for 53^rd among the field. Peng compiled four birdies, totaling eight on the tournament, which leads the team. He is close behind teammate Taehoon Song, who is 48^th overall.

Collecting an eagle shot on hole nine, Aidan O'Hagan, competing as an individual, sits at 78^th after two rounds, while Robert Galligan is right with him at 80^th. Freshman Joshua Koo finished next for the Huskies in a tie for 86^th place.

The Huskies will look to regroup and finish strong tomorrow in the final round at Pasatiempo Golf Club, with UW tee times slated for a 7:45 a.m. PT start.
