Pitcher’s Duel Goes Against Huskies

TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 8 Washington (26-7, 7-4 Pac-12) dropped the second game of the series 3-1 at Arizona State on Saturday night.
Arizona State brought across the first run of the contest following a leadoff double from Yanni Acuna and scoring on the error in the next at bat.
Madison Huskey and Sami Reynolds led off the fourth with back-to-back hits and Kelley Lynch followed with a walk to load the bases. SilentRain Espinoza brought in the tying run on a sacrifice fly.
Arizona State brought across the go-ahead runs in the seventh for the 3-1 advantage.
Lynch got the start in the circle for the Huskies, throwing five innings with seven strikeouts and allowing only one hit. She retired 15 of 18 batters faced.
The Huskies and Sun Devils conclude the weekend series on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for noon and airing on the ASU Live Stream.
