Washington Signee Sellers Named to Naismith High School Midseason Team

ATLANTA, Ga. β Washington women's basketball 2023 signee Sayvia Sellers has been named to the 2023 Jersey Mike's Naismith High School Girls Midseason Team. Sellers is one of just 25 girls named to the team. Β
Sellers signed a National Letter of Intent with Washington on November 9. On November 15, Sellers and fellow signee Ari Long were two of the 50 girls named to the Naismith High School Girls Trophy Watch List.
Sellers, a 5-7 point guard from Anchorage, Alaska (Anchorage Christian High School), was the highest-rated signee (No. 28) in Washington's class, according to the ESPNW Top 100 rankings.
Sellers was also recently named a 2023 McDonald's All American nominee, along with fellow signees Chloe Briggs and Long.
Washington is one of four Pac-12 schools represented on the Midseason Team.Β
The five finalists will be announced in February 2023, and the 2023 Jersey Mike's Naismith High School Trophy Girls honor will be awarded in March.
