
Mulkey Earns Pac-12 Media Award

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Washington center Nancy Mulkey has been named to the Pac-12 Media's All-Defensive Team, the conference announced Wednesday.Β
In a vote of the 31 media members who cover the league, MulkeyΒ earned All-Defensive Team honors.Β
Mulkey, a senior from Cypress, Texas, is one of the leading shot blockers in the nation this season, recording 3.0 blocked shots per game, which ranks first in the conference and seventh nationally. Her 65 total blocked shots rank 14th in the nation.Β
Mulkey started every game this season for the Huskies, and also averaged 6.0 rebounds per game and 0.7 steals per game.
This postseason award comes just one day after she earned Honorable Mention honors from the conference coaches on the All-Pac-12 and All-Defensive Teams.Β
