Washington Outlasts San Diego State 3-0 On Senior Day

SEATTLE β The Washington men's soccer team beat San Diego State 3-0 on Sunday afternoon, with all goals coming in the second half of play. The Huskies are now 15-0-3 on the season with a 7-0-2 mark in Pac-12 play.

The Huskies celebrated seniors Jayson Baca, Khai Brisco, Sam Fowler, Omar Grey, Jensen Jabara, Lucas Meek, Gio Miglietti, Michael Rojas, Imanol Rosales, Nick Scardina, Christian Soto and Gabe Threadgold in a pregame celebration of each of their contributions to the program over the years.

Coming off a Pac-12 championship clinching victory over UCLA Thursday night, the Dawgs remained scoreless with San Diego State through one half of action. Β

The first goal of the afternoon came from Kalani Kossa-Rienzi off an assist from Rosales andΒ Threadgold. Β

Nate Jones scored the second goal six minutes later off Rosales' second assist of the afternoon in the 75th minute. Β

The scoring truly came in bunches for the Huskies when Rosales notched a goal of his own less than two minutes later in the 77th minute offΒ assists from Woody Manum and Richie Aman. Β

The Dawgs outshot the Aztecs 12-2 with five shots on goal. Β
