October 20, 2022 | Women's Rowing
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Washington men's and women's rowing teams will compete this Sunday at the 58th annual Head of the Charles Regatta.
The Huskies will have a crew in each of the two marquee eights competitions, the men's and women's championship eights, which will get underway Sunday morning, Pacific Time.
Here are those two events:
Event #63: Men's Championship Eights (25 entries), Sunday, 10:38 a.m. PT
Event #66: Women's Championship Eights (29 entries), Sunday, 11:11 a.m. PT
Washington will also be represented by a number of alumni, with an eight in each of the men's and women's alumni/alumnae eights races. Additionally, three former Huskies who are a part of the U.S. National team will compete. Ezra Carlson will row in the men's championship singles, while Pieter Quinton and Jessica Thoennes will each row in an exhibition in the men's and women's championship doubles.
All of those races will be held on Saturday.
The regatta will have live video coverage of the three-day event, via YouTube. Click in the "Live Video" link at the top-right of this page to follow along.
On Sunday, Washington Rowing will host a complimentary Husky Hospitality Tent just upstream from the Eliot Bridge Enclosure on the Boston side of the river. The tent will be marked by the white blades of Washington and a UW flag. It is not part of the Reunion Village.
