
Brown Named Pac-12 Player Of The Week

Washington senior Terrell Brown Jr. was named the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 23.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Brown shot 54.8 percent from the floor (34 of 62), 60.0 percent from three-point range (3 of 5) and converted 77.8 percent of his free throws (21 of 27) to help the Huskies go 2-2 over four games.
Brown was especially potent down the stretch of games, averaging 17.5 points per contest in the second half alone. In wins over both George Mason and South Dakota State at the Crossover Classic, he scored 21 points over the final 20 minutes when the Huskies were able to repel late-game surges and hold on for wins.
Against George Mason, Brown scored 11 of the Huskies last 15 points over the final 4:32 of the game to help the Huskies to a 77-74 win. He also had eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and a blocked shot.
The next day against South Dakota State, Brown scored 21 of his career-high 32 points in the second half to help keep the Jackrabbits at bay. For one four-minute stretch, Brown scored 15-straight points and later would hit all four free throw attempts during the final 2:30 of the game. He was 13 of 18 from the field. Brown also finished with five rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Against Nevada, Brown scored 15 of his team-high 19 points in the second half. He also had five rebounds and four assists. He capped his week 18 points and six assists against Winthrop.
Brown currently leads the Pac-12 and ranks 11th nationally in scoring at 21.9 points per game and leads the nation in field goal makes with 64. He also ranks fifth in free throw makes (43) and third in free throw attempts (55).
