Washington Sets 2021 Schedule
January 26, 2021 | Men's Soccer
SEATTLE – The 2021 schedule is set for the reigning Pac-12 champion Washington Huskies as the Pac-12 released the full slate of games today. Washington will play 15 games, including ten against Pac-12 opponents, in its first game action since winning the conference and making the national quarterfinals. All game dates and times are subject to change as necessary.
The Huskies have eight home games and seven road games on the schedule, playing each Pac-12 team twice in a home-and-home series as Washington defends its conference crown. The season kicks off on February 4 as Washington hosts Northwest University. The Huskies will also host Gonzaga (February 7), Oregon State (February 20), San Diego State (March 7), Seattle U (March 10), Stanford (March 20), Cal (April 3), and UCLA (April 8).
The road schedule for Washington begins with two non-conference games, at Seattle Pacific on February 11 and at Portland on February 14. Washington's other road games will all be in the Pac-12, against Cal (February 27), UCLA (March 13), Oregon State (March 24), San Diego State (March 28), and Stanford (April 17). The match at Stanford will be the final game of the regular season for the Huskies, with the NCAA Tournament selection occurring April 18.
The Huskies return a loaded squad after last year's NCAA quarterfinals trip and Pac-12 championship. Back are two Huskies who scored at least five goals in Lucas Meek and Gio Miglietti. Christian Soto, Imanol Rosales, and Dylan Teves all return as well: that trio combined for 17 assists, with all of them recording at least four. Sam Fowler and Andrew Morrison return in net, with that duo combining for a 0.61 GAA last season.
The Pac-12 championship last season was the third in program history and first since 2013, setting a new Washington record with after going 8-2-0 in Pac-12 play. Washington's trip to the NCAA quarterfinals was the second such trip in Washington history, both coming under Jamie Clark's leadership.
Game times and broadcast information for this season's games will be made available on the GoHuskies.com schedule page as soon as possible. All of Washington's home games will be broadcast live via either the Pac-12 Network or the Washington live stream.
