Onwuzurike Named To Outland Trophy Watch List

The Football Writers Association of America has announced the preseason watch list for the 2020 Outland Trophy, recognizing the nation's top standout interior linemen and Washington senior defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike is on the initial list.
Onwuzurike, a senior from Allen, Texas, was a first-team All-Pac-12 pick last season, and was an Academic All-District 8 selection in 2017. He led all UW defensive linemen with 45 tackles in 2019, when he started 12 out of 13 games. Onwuzurike has been named to the second team of the Walter Camp, Phil Steele and Pick Six Preview preseason All-America teams and is on both the Bednarik and Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists.
The recipient of the 75th Outland Trophy will be announced in early December. The official presentation to the winner will be made in Omaha, Neb., at the Outland Trophy Awards Dinner sponsored by Werner Enterprises and produced by the Greater Omaha Sports Committee, scheduled for Jan. 13, 2021.
