Husky 2020-21 Recruiting Class Ranked No. 15 Nationally
May 26, 2020 | Men's Tennis
SEATTLE --- University of Washington men's tennis Head Coach Matt Anger's incoming 2020-21 class has been ranked No. 15 in the nation according to tennisrecruiting.net -- its highest ranking ever in program history.
Anger's incoming recruiting class features a pair of top junior talent in Clement Chidekh (France), Han Chih Lin (Taiwan) and Nikit Reddy (Bradenton, FL).
"I had three quick thoughts when I saw where our recruiting class was ranked," said Anger. "First, I am thrilled with Clement, Hans, and Nikit and I thought it was great that they were recognized as a class. I really do think that they are going to come in right away and add talent, depth and ultimately confidence to our team. My second thought is that they should be regarded even higher. However, that led me to my final thought which is that we play a game of on court competition and results and while it is nice, it won't matter much once we start the season."
The Tennis Recruiting Network and Mizuno have again enlisted the aid of junior tennis experts to determine the top classes. Reporters, national and international tournament directors, referees, ranking chairmen, and writers from across the country have donated their time and talents to vote on these top classes.

Each of our panelists submitted his/her take on the Top 25 recruiting classes. Schools received 25 points for each first-place vote, 24 points for each second-place vote, on down to 1 point for each 25th-place vote. The panelists were told not to consider incoming transfer students in their voting - and also did not consider incoming freshmen who are competing this spring.
Washington was off to a strong start in the 2020 spring season, posting a 9-7 record with a young team facing numerous injuries before the season ended prematurely. The Huskies return the entire roster from the 2019-20 season with the addition of its talented recruiting class.
