Washington Falls 6-1 to No. 40 Minnesota

SEATTLE --- Washington fell 6-1 to No. 40 Minnesota in a non-conference match on Friday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Three close matches in doubles went the Golden Gopher's way. On No. 3, Minnesota got the 3-6 win and on No. 2 they won 4-6. At No. 1, the match went unfinished with Alexis Alvarez and Jack Davis up 6-5.
Singles continued the way of Minnesota, taking five of the six courts. On No. 1, Davis stayed with his No. 54-ranked opponent throughout the match to move to 9-4 on the season in singles and break his three-match losing streak after a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win.
The Huskies will be back in action on Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m. as they take on Boise State in the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
