
#11 Washington Travels to Take on #3 UCLA

LOS ANGELES - Washington is set to travel to Los Angeles to face third-ranked and 2018 national champion UCLA on Friday. The GymDawgs are coming off their best meet of the season against California in which they scored a 197.225, the eighth-best score in Washington Gymnastics history.
Four GymDawgs earned new career-high scores against California and four others matched their career-bests. The seniors on the team led the way, with Madison Copiak, Kristyn Hoffa, and Evanni Roberson each winning individual titles.
Hoffa's event win came with a 9.975 on floor, giving her a career-high score and the highest finish by a GymDawg on floor since 2004. Roberson had two event wins, one on bars and one in the all-around which came by way of a career-high 39.550. The all-around maverick also matched her career-high on beam with a 9.850 where she won her other title. Copiak had a season-best on bars with 9.925 in her individual event win.
UCLA is coming off of their best meet of the season as well where they scored 197.575 against Stanford. UCLA currently ranks in the top five in vault and bars, while sitting in the top spot for floor, nationally.
