Jack Davis Named Pac-12 Player of the Week

SEATTLE --- Washington men's tennis junior Jack Davis has been named the Pac-12 Player of the Week after a posting a perfect 3-0 singles record including a Top 10 win.
Davis, who is 11-1 in singles play and 9-2 in doubles overall this year, opened the week with an impressive win. He was the first off in singles play, beating No. 8 Joseph Guillin of UC Santa Barbara 6-3, 6-3. He also topped Valentin Lang of GCU (6-3, 6-2) and Antoine Noel of Cal Poly (6-3, 6-2), and also secured a No. 1 doubles victory versus the Mustangs' Joe Leather and Roman Shenkiryk (6-2).
So far this spring, Davis is 5-1 in singles matches and 3-1 in doubles matches this season.
The honor is the first player of the week for Davis and the 15th all-time for the Huskies. Washington's last Player of Week honoree was Mitch Stewart in 2018.
The Huskies, who are 5-1 this season, return to action on Sunday, traveling to San Diego to face the Toreros at 12:00 p.m.
