
Get To Know The Huskies: Ethan Bartlow

Ethan Bartlow made an immediate impact for the Huskies as a true freshman in 2018, earning All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors. Bartlow played and started in 18 matches, playing more minutes (1,678 minutes) than another Washington player. He helped anchor UW's defense which allowed just 20 goals in 20 matches including posting five-straight shutouts to end the year. Bartlow finished the season with one goal and two assists.

1. Why did you choose Washington?
I chose Washington because I loved the coaching staff and the campus on my visits, and it was great meeting all of the guys. It just seemed like a really good fit for me.
2. When did you start playing soccer?
3 years old
3. What is your earliest or favorite soccer memory?
My favorite soccer memory was representing the US for the first time in St. Louis.
4. Who are your four favorite soccer players?
Messi, Philippe Coutinho, Raphael Varane, Ronaldinho
5. What is your favorite professional soccer team? How did you become a supporter?
FC Barcelona because I was always a big fan of Ronaldinho and then when he left, Messi.
6. What sport would you play if you didn't play soccer?
I would want to play basketball.
7. What is the best advice you have ever received?
I was always taught that I should always work hard no matter how talented I was, and that hard work would help me achieve my dreams.
8. What is your favorite place to go around Seattle?
I love going down to the stadiums downtown to watch the Sounders, Mariners, and Seahawks.
9. What is one random fact that people wouldn't know about you?
My grandpa was a Husky, but most of my mom's family went to Washington State.
10. What song would you sing at Karaoke night?
Any duet with Joey Parish

Being late
