Winning Streak Ends At 16 As Huskies Fall 5-4

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The #3 Washington Huskies had their 16-game win streak come to an end, falling 5-4 to the Utah Utes in the final game of the series. Amirah Milloy had two extra-base hits for the Huskies, driven in two runs and scoring another.
The bottom half of the order was again excellent for the Huskies, with every batter six through nine recording a hit and a run. Sis Bates also had a hit in the game, driving in a run in the sixth as well.
Taran Alvelo started the game and worked four scoreless innings, only allowing one hit. She retired the side in order twice and struck out five batters. Gabbie Plain pitched the final two innings, taking the loss.
Washington will finish this week's road trip with an April 22 game against Utah Valley, at 10:00 am PT.
