Third Straight Double-Digit Scoring Game As Huskies Win 11-2

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A big fourth inning carried the #3 Washington Huskies to a 11-2 victory over the Utah Utes, clinching another Pac-12 series with for the Dawgs. The win, Washington's 16^th in a row, was the third consecutive game the Huskies have scored double digits and was helped along by a big six-run fourth inning.

Four Huskies had multiple hits in the game, including Taryn Atlee's two in one inning. Sis Bates scored three runs and drove in two more, Morganne Flores hit her 17^th home run, and Amirah Milloy scored three times, recording two hits and a walk in her four plate appearances.

Taran Alvelo worked three innings for the Huskies, with Gabbie Plain finishing off the game from there and earning her 17^th win. The duo combined for the win, allowing only four hits. Plain faced the minimum in her four innings, retiring the first six batter she faced after entering in the fourth.

		SCORING
Second Inning: The Utes took advantage of a shrinking strike zone, drawing two walks in the inning and scoring the game's first run. Third Inning: While attempting to intentionally walk Flores, a wild pitch bounded away to the backstop, allowing Milloy to score the tying run from third. Utah would take back the lead in the bottom half, 2-1. Fourth Inning: Atlee's leadoff double helped the Huskies open up the game as 12 batters came to the plate, with Washington scoring six runs in the frame on five hits and two walks. Atlee had two hits in the inning. Fifth Inning: Bates tripled to centerfield to drive in another run, making it 8-2, before a bases-loaded fielder's choice by Noelle Hee, her 13^th career bases-loaded RBI, pushed the lead to 9-2. Seventh Inning: With Bates on second, Flores ripped a ball well out of the park, her fifth home run in the last five games, for a 11-2 lead.

		NOTES
Flores (2x3, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI) joins Kristen Rivera as the only Huskies ever to hit double-digit homers in Pac-12 play. She is the first player in the conference to reach double-digit homers in Pac-12 play this season. Atlee (2x5, R, 2B, 2 RBI) extended her hitting streak to four games. Milloy (2x3, 3 R, 2B, RBI, 2 SB) set a new career high in single-season steals with seven. Milloy has six runs scored the last three games after tonight's career best three runs. Bates (2x4, 3 R, 2 RBI) had her fourth multi-hit game in the last five. Reynolds (1x3, 2B) has an extra-base hit in five straight games. Plain (4.0 IP, 1 H, 2 K) extended her scoreless streak to 17.1 innings.

The Washington-Utah series will wrap up tomorrow at 11:00 am PT. Washington finishes the road trip with an April 22 game against Utah Valley.
