Huskies Complete 36 Holes At PING Cougar Classic

PROVO, Utah – The Washington men's golf team is in 13th place at +12 after the first two rounds of the PING Cougar Classic on Friday. The Huskies shot a 5-over 293 in the first round and posted a 7-over 295 in the afternoon second round.
Sophomore Jan Schneider is tied for 39th at 2-over par after two rounds of play. Schneider carded a 2-under 70 in his opening round and followed it up with a 4-over round of 76. Schneider only posted one bogey in his first round along with three birdies but couldn't continue that in the second as he recorded six bogeys and only two birdies.
Freshman Ranveer Grewal posted an even par round of 72 and then a 2-over round of 74. Par was a common score for Grewal over his first two rounds as he recorded 32, tied for most in the field. Grewal heads into the final round tied for 39th place at 2-over.
Senior William Mansfield is tied for 46th place at 3-over par after he shot a 5-over round of 77 and followed it up with a 1-under 70. In his second round, Mansfield carded four birdies and an eagle on the par-5 15th hole.
Junior Henry Lee carded two consecutive rounds of 3-over 75 and is at 6-over and in a tie for 60th place.
Freshman Padraic Sim is in a tie for 87th place after he shot round of 76 and 80 on Friday.
