No. 7 Huskies Open Pac-12 Play On The Road

The seventh ranked Washington women's tennis team begins Pac-12 conference play on Friday as the Huskies face the 6-6 Colorado Buffaloes at 12:30 p.m. On Sunday, the Dawgs will matchup against Utah at 10 a.m.

UW was recently ranked as the No. 7 team in the nation according to the ITA. This is the highest ranking in program history since the 2004 campaign.

Stacey Fung jumped back into the ITA singles rankings at No. 69. Fung is 7-3 in singles dual matches and holds a victory over then #1 player Sophie Whittle from Gonzaga
Fung's 86 career singles victories place her currently at sixth all time in program history
Sophomore Vanessa Wong remains a perfect 10-0 in singles dual matches, and earned the 112^th singles ranking on Tuesday
Fung and freshman Nika Zupancic currently hold the 43^rd spot in the ITA Doubles Rankings
Junior Katarina Kopcalic leads the team in overall wins with 21, and is off to an 8-2 record in dual matches
The Huskies have been nearly perfect in doubles play, holding a 22-3 (.880) record in dual matches
Singles play has not been far behind as UW holds a .750 (45-15) winning percentage in dual matches
Freshman have impacted the team significantly through the non-conference season as Sedona Gallagher is 6-2 in singles, 8-1 in doubles while Zupancic is 4-1 in singles and 6-1 in doubles play
The victory against #7 Kansas was the second of the season against a top-15 opponent
The Huskies hold a 14-3 all-time series record against Colorado and 12-8 advantage over Utah
UW beat Colorado and Utah both by a score of 4-0 at home last season
