Washington In Sixth After Two Rounds Of PING ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Washington women's golf team is in sixth place at 8-over par after shooting 3-over in the second round of play at the PING ASU Invitational. Junior Alice Duan lead the way for the Huskies on Saturday at Papago Golf Course as she shot a 4-under bogey free round of 68.
"Really excited to see Alice finish her round so strong," said head coach Mary Lou Mulflur. "We struggled a little bit on the par-5's today and that cost us a few shots. Hopefully we can put everything together tomorrow."
Duan is tied for eight at 2-under par after the completion of her second round. She is five shots back of first place.
Senior Wenyung Keh is at 2-over for the tournament and in a tie for 20th place. Keh shot a 4-over round of 76 on Saturday.
Senior Julianne Alvarez is tied for 38th place as she posted a 2-over round of 74. Alvarez is at 5-over through two days of play.
Sophomore Rino Sasaki is also at 5-over for the tournament and tied for 38th place. Sasaki carded 3-over round of 75 in her second round. Sasaki has rolled in seven birdie putts in her first two rounds of play.
Freshman Martha Lewis bounced back after a difficult first round with a 2-over round of 74. Lewis is at 10-over for the tournament and tied for 62nd place.
Stanford leads the tournament at 5-under par and is one stroke ahead of Arizona State in second place. Andrea Lee of Stanford continues to lead the individuals at 7-under par.
Washington has recorded the fourth most birdies in the field with 26 and is 6-under on the par-5's through two rounds.
