Hruby Named Pac-12 Golfer of the Month for November

SEATTLE, Wash. – University of Washington freshman Petr Hruby has been named the Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Month for his play during the month of November, the league announced on Wednesday.
The newcomer posted a career-best tie for 4th at his most recent event, the prestigious Ka'anapali Collegiate as he went 12-under for a score of 201 over the 54-hole event. Hruby carded rounds of 1-under 70, 6-under 65 and 5-under 66 to climb six spots on the final day into his best showing.
He is the second Husky to be recognized by the league this season as junior Noah Woolsey earned the monthly honor following his play in September. Washington had a fantastic fall campaign, winning three tournaments and only finishing below second once. Additionally, it is the first time since 2008-09 that Washington has had two different golfers earn the league's monthly honor in the same season.
Hruby also joins Rino Sasaki on the Pac-12's monthly honor roll as she earned women's golfer of the month. It is the first time that Washington has swept the monthly awards for both men and women since March of 2014-15 when C.T. Pan and Jennifer Yang picked up the awards.
