SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies earned the right to host the first round of the NCAA Tournament, earning a four seed after finishing the regular season 11-6-2. The Huskies will play the Seattle U Redhawks in the opening round on Montlake.
Tickets information for the postseason will be made publicly available as soon as possible.
This is Washington's first trip to the postseason since 2015 and its first time hosting since 2014, when it advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. Washington has made the postseason 15 times in Lesle Gallimore's 26 seasons as head coach, twice advancing to the Elite Eight twice and moving past the first round nine times.
Washington finished tied for third in the Pac-12 standings with 21 points this year, going 7-4-0 in Pac-12 play. The Huskies lost consecutive games only once all season and ended the year with a win over #24 Washington State in the Boeing Apple Cup Series.
The Huskies will enter the NCAA Tournament with the fourth-stingiest defense in the Pac-12, having allowed only 18 goals in 19 games this season. The offense is led by Summer Yates, who scored the most points by a Husky since 2012 this year with eight goals and six assists.
