July 27, 2018 | Football
Huskies Jake Browning and Myles Gaskin wrapped up the two-week period of preseason watch list announcements by earning a spot on the list for the Walter Camp Award, presented to the college player of the year by the Walter Camp Foundation.
Browning, a senior quarterback from Folsom, Calif., enters the 2018 season with 9,104 career passing yards and a UW-record 78 career touchdown passes, with just 24 interceptions. He's been the Husky starter since his true freshman year and was the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2016.
He also made the preseason watch lists for the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien Awards.
Gaskin, a senior tailback from Lynnwood, Wash., is the nation's top returning rusher in terms of career yards, with 4,055 yards, just 51 yards shy of the Husky career record. He already owns the UW record with 45 career rushing TDs and has topped 1,300 yards in each of his three seasons as the Huskies' top back.
