
Rivalry Match-Up at Home Wraps Up Regular Season

SEATTLE – In the final home and regular season match, No. 49 Washington women's tennis will host in-state rival No. 40 Washington State in another edition of the Boeing Apple Cup Series on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. PT.
The Huskies are 14-10, 4-5 in the Pac-12, after splitting their matches over the weekend. In the latest ITA singles rankings, Stacey Fung moved up to No. 17 and Vanessa Wong jumped to No. 46. Wong and Miki Kobayashi moved up in the doubles rankings to No. 20.
Washington State is having a strong season. The Cougars are currently 20-5 (5-4 Pac-12), but they have lost three of their last four matches. Their top singles player Michaela Bayerlova is ranked No. 26 by the ITA. WSU also has a doubles duo ranked, No. 79 Guzal Yusupova and Tiffany Mylonas. The Huskies have won the last three matches against their rivals.
