
Dawgs to Host Two Ranked Conference Foes this Weekend

SEATTLE โ Following a split weekend in Arizona, Washington women's tennis is back at home this weekend with matches against No. 45 California and No. 22 Stanford.

The Huskies (13-9, 3-4 Pac-12) won at Arizona before being swept at Arizona State last weekend. In the latest ITA singles rankings, Stacey Fung moved to No. 22 and Vanessa Wong is now at No. 63. In doubles, Wong and Miki Kobayashi are ranked No. 26.

Cal is 10-6 (5-2 Pac-12) after winning its last two matches. The Golden Bears have four players ranked in singles by the ITA, led by No. 36 Anna Bright. They also have one doubles duo ranked, No. 36 Olivia Hauger and Julia Rosenqvist.

Stanford (12-3, 6-0 Pac-12) is currently in first place in the conference. Before coming to Seattle on Saturday, the Cardinal will play Washington State on Friday. The team has four players ranked in singles by the ITA, the highest being No. 15 Michaela Gordon. In doubles, there are two pairs ranked, including No. 3 Emily Arbuthnott and Michaela Gordon.
